RM520N: entering PIN gets cancelled

Hi, I am having issues with MM 1.23.12 and libqmi 1.35.6 on Quectel RM520N-GL(FW:RM520NGLAAR03A01M4G).

Trying to enter the PIN will fail with:

root@OpenWrt:/tmp# mmcli -m any --sim 6 --pin 1234
error: couldn't send PIN code to the SIM: 'GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.ModemManager1.Error.Core.Cancelled: Operation was cancelled'

I have tried 1.23.1 and 1.22.0 and there it times out instead of throwing the error instantly, 1.23.8 behaves as above.

However, then if you look with mmcli modem state has changed from locked to disabled and enabling it works just fine since SIM was actually unlocked.

I have attached a debug log, but I can only see unlock required check retries cancelled as relevant message.
