Modem Manager MO/MT SMS persistent storage

Currently MO/MT SMS are not stored in persistent storage. Any reason why this is not implemented in modem manager? Framework like modem manager implementing this will have benefits of each application can have its own UI, but actual messages will be stored at framework level rather than at app level.

We plan to implement this and upstream this, Please share your feedback.
