allowed modes is not persistent (Update: only MBIM affected)
Hello,
i have two problems. The default mode in my case is: allowed: 2g, 3g, 4g; preferred: 2g So i successfully changed it using this command: mmcli -m 0 --set-allowed-modes='4g' New mode: allowed: 4g; preferred: none which is perfect for me.
Problem 1: after changing the mode, the connection is lost. The modem is in status: "state: registered" Only manual reconnect helps: mmcli -m 0 -b 0 -c
Problem 2: after a reboot, the setting is lost. The old default mode is active again: allowed: 2g, 3g, 4g; preferred: 2g
I'm using OpenWRT and tried it with different routers and different OpenWRT versions. I also tried different Modemmanager versions (1.16.6 and 1.18.6). The only commonality in all cases is the Modem: it's a Sierra Wireless MC7710.
Is this a bug? If i am not mistaken, this setting should be persistent... I have flashed the latest modem-firmware before testing (03.05.29.03). Also, i switched the modem firmware into MBIM mode (AT interface still available).
Do you need further informations?
