namespace-pollution: Initial framework and test cases for namespace pollution · 925beebe
      Ian Romanick authored
See the giant comment in the top of
      tests/general/object-namespace-pollution.c for more details. Currently
only buffer objects and texture objects are supported with glClear and
glGenerateMipmap. Addtional objects and operations will be added.

Both glClear and glGenerateMipmap fail with buffer objects in Mesa
11.0.6 and earlier. These texture object tests pass.

      v2: s/break/continue/ in the first_unused_texture handling. Duh.

v3: Pick a clear color that should avoid hardware fast-clear
optimizations. This may not be necessary for this test, but later test
      will need similar tricks.

v4: validate_* functions do not need a silent_skip parameter because the
create_* function will have already logged any necessary messages. Add
NORETURN to usage(). Note that sampler objects forbit user generated
      names. All suggested by Emil.

v5: Fix a typo in lfsr() and add some assertions in the random number
      generation code.

v6: Require that the user select a single subtest. This causes
cascading changes in all patches that add operations or object types.
Names allocated by _mesa_Gen* are always larger than the previous
highest name allocated. If an application calls

          glBindTexture(GL_TEXTURE_2D, 47000);
          glGenTextures(1, &tex)

tex will be 47001 regardless of whether the names 1 - 46999 are
available. This means that many of the failing tests will pass when run
as a group. It really only makes sense to run the tests one at a time.
      Suggested by Emil.

cmake: Build a few more tests with MSVC. · 6e58c218
      Jose Fonseca authored
It seems at least that newer MSVC versions can compile these without
      problems.

Also add comment explaining why some tests still can't be built for
      future reference.

      Trivial. Only affects MSVC builds.

add a simple glinfo "test" program · ffb8ae06
      Brian Paul authored
When doing a full piglit run it's helpful to have all the OpenGL
driver version/vendor/extension info. The piglit framework tries
to run glxinfo/wglinfo and include the output in the results file,
but sometimes those programs aren't installed.

Add a test for viewport triangle clipping. · 7a0f6cde
      Stuart Abercrombie authored
Triangles should be clipped to the clip volume and therefore shouldn't
end up being rasterized outside the viewport.

This was failing on Sandy Bridge with guard band clipping enabled.

v2: new test name, more comments and addition to all.tests.
v3: Eric's comments incorporated, and the explicit window size removed.
v4: minor style tweaks by Eric, and Brian's probe-related review.
