[DXVK] Quake Champions loading screen defects and textures disappearing while moving

Submitted by leo..@..il.com

Assigned to Intel 3D Bugs Mailing List

Link to original bug (#109076)

Description

With the game Quake Champions running using Steam Play 3.16-4 and 3.16-5 Beta there are significant problems on loading screens: many elements of the screen are blinking constantly.

A video showing the loading problem can be seen at: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/457747189616214019/524176774192693249/quackchampions001.webm

After joining a match (which takes a significant time), all textures may disappear for a brief time and reappear. This can be seen at: https://i.imgur.com/eKxdjET.jpg

In the DXVK logs (QuakeChampions_d3d11.log), the following error can be found (I copied from the log):

err: D3D11: CreateGeometryShaderWithStreamOutput: Transform feedback not supoorted by device

Which seems a bit strange as I remember there were commits about adding Transform Feedback around 2 months ago and Quake Champions still do not detect it.

I'm reporting this problem here as it was asked at: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/225#issuecomment-447847290
