GALLIUM_HUD segmentation fault on i915g

Describe the issue
As classic drivers are becoming obsolete I tried to compile mesa 21.0.2 on my ancient intel i915 using gallium driver.
- glxinfo works
- glxgears works
- xmoto works
but when you set something to GALLIUM_HUD application crashes on i915_dri.so with a segmentation fault
in the following example I executed glxgears with GALLIUM_HUD with the command below
GALLIUM_HUD=lol gdb glxgears
no matter what you put on GALLIUM_HUD env var, the application crashes.
I will try to compile mesa with debug information to complete this bug.
glxinfo is reporting a weird max core version: 0.0 you can see complete glxinfo at the bottom of this issue.

i915g is a modern driver please don't delete i915g from master/main branch. There are still some users. :)
