Describe the issue

• X:
  • Mouse movement is slugglish, cursor becomes invisible when moving
  • slow response
  • urxvt exhibit character per character refreshes
  • only about 45fps in glxgears, cursor flashes if placed on glxgears window
  • Interestingly, settting AccelMethod to none gives me smooth mouse movement and about 20fps in glxgears.
  • mpv with soft decode drops hundreds of frame
• Sway
  • Had to set WLR_NO_HARDWARE_CURSORS=1
  • slow response but better than X
  • Cursor skipping and movement is sluggish
  • mpv with soft decode drops hundreds of frame
