Systemfreeze from mesa version 1:24.3.0-1-x86_64 and above with Chromium and derivatives [and more or less all other graphic related things]

  • GPU: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Raven Ridge [Radeon Vega Series / Radeon Vega Mobile Series], AMD Ryzen 5 2400GE with Radeon Vega Graphics
  • Kernel version: 6.12.3
  • Mesa version: 1:24.2.7-1 (last working version for me)
  • Xserver version (if applicable): 1.21.1.14
  • Desktop manager and compositor: KDE Plasma 6.2

Describe the issue

When using Chromium browser and derivatives (also Falkon browser) [and all other graphic related things] there is a systemfreeze after a few minutes or more with mesa version 1:24.3.0-1-x86_64 and above. Last working version is 1:24.2.7-1. Happens on X11 and Wayland.

Regression

Started with mesa version 1:24.3.0-1-x86_64 and higher until the latest version to this day. After downgrade to 1:24.2.7-1, everything is fine.
