MATLAB hangs if DRI3 enabled with intel driver

Submitted by ser..@..il.com

Link to original bug (#97230)

Description

Seen on an intel haswell system running Ubuntu with the "OIBAF" ppa providing an xorg-video-intel driver aligned with latest Git.

An easily reproducible case to hang Matlab is merely to ask it to quit. Matlab freezes and becomes unresponsive to CTRL-C.

Apparently, this is also seen on redhat: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1357571

Version: git
