evdev on 16.04 doesn't correctly handle uinput mouse (but libinput on 18.10 does)
Hi, I ported over my program which uses python-uinput to Ubuntu 18.10, but something related to the libinput driver seems to cause the python-uinput mouse clicks to not work (moving the cursor and keyboard events works fine). I have the same code running on Ubuntu 16.04 with the evdev as a fully operational baseline. I need help understanding whether this is an issue with libinput or can be fixed in how python-uinput registers its device.
I've attached the good (Ubuntu 16.04) and bad (Ubuntu 18.10) Xorg logs. good (16.04 evdev) Xorg.0.log and bad (18.10 libinput) Xorg.0.log. Let me know if you need any additional information/logs. Thanks!
