Support for Trust Panora (145f:0212)
Summary
I just bought a Trust Panora and tried it out with Ubuntu 19.10. While it does seem to be detected, it does not produce any cursor movements.
Steps to reproduce
I will send detailed logs.
Required information
- libinput version: 1.14.1
- hardware information: USB ID 145f:0212 Trust Panora (https://www.trust.com/en/product/21794-panora-widescreen-graphic-tablet)
-
libinput record
output:- I am attaching movement and pen button recordings.
- All buttons on the tablet (up, down, center, left, right, scroll left, scroll right) return with:
No events recorded, deleting 'stdout'
-
libinput debug-events --verbose
output: do not paste, attach the file
Xorg, in particular, reports:
[ 5439.534] (EE) libinput: UGTABLET Trust Pen Tablet Mouse: Discarding absolute event from relative device. Please file a bug
Hence, I filed this bug.
Other information
I tried to force udev to report the device as a tablet by adding the following line to udev:
# Trust Panora
ENV{ID_BUS}=="usb", ENV{ID_VENDOR_ID}=="145f", ENV{ID_MODEL_ID}=="0212", ENV{ID_INPUT}="1", ENV{ID_INPUT_JOYSTICK}="", ENV{ID_INPUT_TABLET}="1"
But then Xorg complains as follows:
[ 5601.499] (II) event11 - UGTABLET Trust Pen Tablet Mouse: is tagged by udev as: Mouse Tablet
[ 5601.522] (EE) event11 - UGTABLET Trust Pen Tablet Mouse: libinput bug: missing tablet capabilities: pen btn-stylus resolution. Ignoring this device.
[ 5601.522] (II) event11 - UGTABLET Trust Pen Tablet Mouse: device is a tablet
[ 5601.523] (II) event11 - failed to create input device '/dev/input/event11'.
[ 5601.523] (EE) libinput: UGTABLET Trust Pen Tablet Mouse: Failed to create a device for /dev/input/event11
[ 5601.523] (EE) PreInit returned 2 for "UGTABLET Trust Pen Tablet Mouse"
[ 5601.523] (II) UnloadModule: "libinput"
[ 5601.523] (II) systemd-logind: releasing fd for 13:75
I also tried to force udev to report the device as a tablet pad, but then Xorg complains that:
[ 5866.430] (II) event11 - UGTABLET Trust Pen Tablet Mouse: Unhandled EV_ABS event code 0x1
Please let me know what I should try next.
