Devices deactivated by tablet-mode are still disabled when resuming from suspend in normal mode
Summary
This one cost me a couple of reboots of my Lenovo X220 Tablet in the past, since I couldn't find out, why my keyboard and trackpoint 'suddenly' stopped working:
Every once in a while it happens that I suspend my laptop being in tablet mode and switch it to normal mode while it's suspended and resume in normal mode.
That causes the devices that are suspend by tablet-mode
to still be disabled after resuming.
Steps to reproduce
- Suspend Tablet PC while being in tablet mode
- Switch to normal mode while it's suspended
- Resume from suspend
libinput version you encountered the bug on
1.12.0
Hardware information:
Lenovo X220 Tablet, but it probably applies to a lot of other devices as well.
Crude Workaround:
Twist the screen to enter and exit tablet-mode
after resuming.
But to be honest: It's not really an option. I always thought it's a driver + suspend issue and didn't even know that my laptop would know and report being in tablet mode.
