Hello,
We've recently added the use of GStreamer gst-build for trying to get latest package which is for us 1.18.4 and not available fully with apt-get.
I've understood from the documentation, that the gst-build is not a proper use for production-wise and also the size of the installation of gst-build is also pretty big(~1.4G for our case if i remember correctly).
I wanted to ask, because meson and ninja doesn't provide, as far as I know, a uninstall procedure, is there a way to uninstall the output of gst-build on the installed endpoint?
Also, is there an alternative for installing gstreamer with the version 1.18.4 or future releases using a package manager and not from git?
Thanks
I just wanted to make sure, I've added the libvo-aacenc-dev before I'm installing GStreamer using gst-build. It seems to work pretty fine but the GStreamer itself is still using version 1.18.4 correct? I know it seems a silly question but just wanted to make sure I'm not missing anything.
Hello,
Recently we've switched to install our GStreamer-based project to using the gst-build system. We're using Ubuntu 18.04 and checking out version 1.18.4 of gst-build.
We've experienced an issue that for an old pipeline of ours which used the element voaacenc that he isn't able to build that pipeline. The bad plugin is actually being installed on the machine, on the process of gst-build phase. But when I'm trying to inspect the element on the machine using gst-inspect he doesn't find the element as well.
Is there a possibility that we need to mention specific features we wish to get out of gst-plugins-bad or maybe I'm missing something?
Thanks
