CPU Turbo Modes are not used in "balanced" mode
Hi,
I'm on Ubuntu 21.04 and the new Power Profiles have an Issue: The balanced mode does not use the Turbo mode of my CPU (3,4 Ghz)
when balanced and on battery, cpu clocks at max around 2,2-2,6 Ghz - on power supply or on performance mode it works fine and clocks up to 3,4
(I can't use performance mode all the time, since the trottleing in idle only goes to 2,2Ghz and not 800mhz -> drains battery)
This basicly leads to sluggish system performance while probalby not saving much power - suggestion: enable a "custom" mode where you can tweak the profiles yourself
how to test:
set to balanced, detach power supply and run on battery
run "stress -c 1"
check clock with "lscpu | grep -i 'mhz'"

Lenovo Thinkpad E480
