so it can check the errors when it has not been initialized.

Considering the terrible state gst-python is (all the plugins seem unusable atm, see #27 (closed)) I figured it would be good to have some plugin tests. So I resurrected @ocrete's patches and created a wip MR: !24 (merged)

Do you know why? I didn't see a bug report about that, did I miss it? :-)
