[NV50][Linux 5.9] Visible flashing/tearing on Wayland

On a ThinkPad T430 with an Nvidia GF108M [NVS 5400M] (with the Intel video card disabled in EFI PXE) running Sway (on Wayland) on Debian testing on Linux 5.9 most (all?) applications have an intermittent visible flashing/tearing. It is easily observed using glxgears (in xwayland). There is no unusual dmesg output that I can see and no crashing, unlike #14 (closed).

I bisected the regression to ca386aa7155a5467fa7b2b8376f4da8f8e59be4d. Building Linux 5.10-rc6 with this commit reverted resolves the issue.
