Intel NUC A770m DP Link Training Unsuccessful with Dell 6k Monitor

System architecture: x86_64 Kernel: 6.4.0-rc6 (drm-tip 7f4be8a3032d09512ddb8a6a588f4b56c02cf40d) Distro: NixOS Machine: NUC12SNKi72 Monitor: Dell 6K U3224KB connected with DP->mDP

When running the above setup with the monitor connected via displayport Link Training fails after loading i915, before loading the driver the boot shows (in lower resolution), but nothing after the training failure. I've tried multiple DP -> mDP cables which all work at full resolution if i boot the machine into windows, but none work in Linux. Furthermore if i connect the display via thunderbolt (DP alt mode) it seems to work fine.
