System: Razer Blade Stealth 2020 1920x1080@120Hz model RZ09-0310/LY325
Distro: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS x64 (also happens on Arch Linux)
Kernel: everything from 5.7 stock up to 5.9.0-050900rc2drmtip20200831-generic from ubuntu mainline kernel repo.
This laptop has dual Intel Iris Plus G7 / Nvidia GTX 1650 Ti MAX-Q
Laptop will not boot unless nomodeset is passed to kernel, in which case only the laptop display panel works.
I am unable to get any external displays working via thunderbolt docks, usb-c adapters etc.
I have tried booting with video=SVIDEO-1:d as many google searches advise but this did not fix the issue.
I have left the system for 1 hour and it never boots.
When I do boot with nomodeset, there is no /sys/class/drm/ card, so I am unable to get any crash reports - all I have is kernel logs and dmidecode (attached).
