Display hang on boot, last message: fb0: switching to i915 from EFI VGA, system otherwise boots as normal.

Display hangs on boot. Tried on multiple fresh installs of Linuxes/kernels including Fedora server 35/Ubuntu server 20.04 LTS HWE. Reach runlevel 3 with remote acccess and no obvious errors. Please let me know if you need more info.
