DDC/CI I2C communication failure with more than 1 monitor

I have a Thinkpad T14 gen 2 connected to a Thunderbolt 4 Universal Docking station and 3 monitors which support DDC/CI communication to turn off/on, set brightness, etc. This setup works well in Windows, the brightness can be controlled for all monitors. In Linux, only one monitor is detected and controlled, both using ddcutil or the ddcci kernel module. With more and more monitors having their controls well hidden on the back, I think DDC/CI is becoming important.
