Green screen when trying to start a game in Civilization 6
The display goes green, when I try to play Civilization 6 on Linux 5.4.0 with AMD Ryzen 5 2400G with Radeon Vega Graphics. Kernel logs (attached) indicates problem with memory.
My system details:
Linux detroit 5.4.0 #1 SMP Fri Nov 29 22:26:15 GMT 2019 x86_64 AMD Ryzen 5 2400G with Radeon Vega Graphics AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux
38:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Raven Ridge [Radeon Vega Series / Radeon Vega Mobile Series] (rev c6)`[kernel.log](/uploads/303e176015cf1df8d6175f8d5443db5e/kernel.log)
AFAIR the problem become worse post 4.19.48. That time, I could at least play a bit of game before a crash. Now I only can start the game, select "Resume Game" and during system crashes during the load.
This report is for latest kernel (5.4.0), but I had the same problem with 5.3.6 as described in this post: https://www.phoronix.com/forums/forum/linux-graphics-x-org-drivers/open-source-amd-linux/1133845-amdgpu-crashes-with-memory-issue
Please advice, what additional information should I attached and also if I need to rebuild a kernel in any special way.
