GPU job hangs during resume from S3
Brief summary of the problem:
Display fails in various ways on resume from S3 sleep state. Usually the display is blank, but occasionally comes back scrambled or with extremely slow updates (mouse move takes ~10s to be reflected on the screen).
The following is observed in /var/log/syslog:

Advice from the amd-gfx mailing list is that this is okay and the underlying problem is that a GPU job is hanging during resume (see here).
Hardware description:

System information:
- Distro name and Version: Ubuntu 22.04
- Kernel version: Linux frog 5.18.0 #1 (closed) SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Mon May 23 10:47:29 UTC 2022 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
- Custom kernel: Custom build from Linus' tree, config attached. Also observed on the Ubuntu linux-image-5.15.0-41-generic package. config
- AMD official driver version: The one that's in the kernel mainline
How to reproduce the issue:
- Suspend system, either using the "suspend" item on the system menu or
echo mem > /sys/power/state
. - Press a key on the keyboard to resume the system.
