USB-C Display port instabilities G513QY

Brief summary of the problem:

I have general instabilities around the display port via USB-C output:

• Only works when the laptop is charging
• Random GPU crash when using secondary display, forceful reboot necessary

I was only doing some light tasks during each crash. Tried both Wayland and Xorg with no difference (except #1028 (closed) ).

Issues do not appear on Windows.

Hardware description:

• Laptop model : G513QY
• CPU: AMD 5900H
• GPU: Navi 22 [Radeon RX 6700/6700 XT / 6800M] [1002:73DF] / Cezanne [1002:1638]
• System Memory: 32Go 3200Mhz
• Display: GB2488HSU
• Type of Display Connection: DP via USB-C (Club 3D CAC-1567 VESA certified)

System information:

• Distro name and Version: Manjaro-stable
• Kernel version: 5.14 and 5.15-rc3
• Driver version: mesa 21.2.3-1

How to reproduce the issue:

• Connect a USB-C to DP adapter before and/or after booting computer and computer is not charging
• Connect a USB-C to DP adapter while computer is on and computer is charging and wait for a crash (1min. to 2 hours variance)
