VM_L2_PROTECTION_FAULT_STATUS:0x00741051

I opened bug 1186122 in openSUSE for this issue and was requested to open this issue here.

I have had a couple of system crashes which required a reboot after which I investigated the journal and found the errors shown in the attached file.

The processor is am AMD Ryzen 5 3400G with Radeon VEGA Graphics. System memory is 32gb with 2gb reserved for the on chip graphics.

Subsequently I have seen several VM_L2_PROTECTION_FAULT_STATUS:0x00741051 errors which happen at various times but do not seem to cause any noticeable problems in the running system. I have tested memory using MemtestX86 and swapped the memory around between sockets on m/b but the errors do not show up in MemtestX86 or change locations when the errors appear. Tumbleweed is fully updated and I am running the latest BIOS on my m/b.

These problems seemed to start following an update in April to kernel-firmware-amdgpu.

It is an intermittent problem most recently happening on 25th May, journal extracamdgpu-20210525.txtt attached.
