hang and eventually full freeze

Brief summary of the problem:

Running Piglit on Zink leads to crash and eventually full system freeze

Hardware description:

  • CPU: Intel i7-920
  • GPU: Radeon RX 5500 XT
  • System Memory: 24GB
  • Display(s): 1
  • Type of Diplay Connection: DP

System infomration:

  • Distro name and Version: Ubuntu 20.10
  • Kernel version: 5.8.0-29-generic
  • Custom kernel: N/A
  • AMD package version: No package

How to reproduce the issue:

Run Piglit with the "quick_gl" profile and Mesa's "Zink" driver, and wait for the system to crash.
