This is an issue about various things that would be useful/required to have in an EDS 3.8 branch when used for PIM Manager.
EDS did not properly close active sources when clients died prematurely. This was fixed in 3.9, could be backported. mbarnes said on IRC that he might do that himself. Commit from 3.9:
There are some patches from the openismus-work branch which did not make it into 3.8, most notable database updates when the locale changes. See bug #59571.
Tristan, can you take care of at least the merging of all patches from the openismus-work branch?
