Some OpenVPN options not supported
I'm trying to use the OpenVPN option "redirect-gateway". Unfortunately, the VPN doesn't get established when that option is in use, instead, this error message appears: "VPN connection: failed to connect interactively: 'property 'redirect-gateway' invalid or not supported'"
Software used is:
- Linux Mint 18.3
- OpenVPN 2.3.10 x86_64-pc-linux-gnu [SSL (OpenSSL)] [LZO] [EPOLL] [PKCS11] [MH] [IPv6] built on Jun 22 2017
Since that option appears to be existing in OpenVPN since atleast 2013, I would've expected, that the Network-Manager contained in Linux Mint 18.3 supports that option. Why not?
Why does Network Manager need to be 'aware' or 'support' those options anyway? I mean, couldn't it just pass-through those options to OpenVPN? Currently, whenever the OpenVPN devs change something or add another option, Network-Manager needs to be adapted, this doesn't seem to be easily maintainable.
